The trailer takes a crowd. School classes, year end functions, church and sports clubs, family reunions and tour groups from overseas come up the mountain every year.

It’s a field trip that ties into the classroom. Geography gets the Cape Fold Mountains close up, with sandstone cliffs and shale slopes you can see from the trailer. Out of the office, up a mountain, then a long lunch under the trees.
No team building exercises, no lanyards. The ride up gets everyone talking, the Muscadel at the hut helps, and the potjie does the rest. Wednesdays are quieter if you’d like the place more to yourselves. Stay over in the cottages if it’s a two day thing.

Tell us your numbers when you ask. Big groups have come up the mountain for years, and we’ll work out the trailers and the timing with you.
Do you do group rates?
Adults are R300 for the tractor and the same for the potjie, with lower prices for teens, students and kids. Ask about rates for schools, large groups and tour operators.
Can we have the trip to ourselves?
Often, yes, depending on the day and the size of your group. Ask when you enquire.
Can you invoice our company or school?
Yes. Send the name and details you need on the invoice with your booking.
Is it safe for school kids?
Children ride seated in the trailer and don’t walk on the mountain road. We ask for enough teachers or parents to keep an eye on everyone at the stops.
